From the editors

Dear Readers,

Herewith we offer you the June 2024 issue #49 of the ME Global Chronicle, with lots of ME-news from around the world from the past 3 months. Although we fully realize that it is not even the tip of the iceberg of all the information that has been put forth in those 3 months.

Once again, we would like to thank the regular correspondents who responded to our request for copy for this issue, (especially) those who indicated that they were currently unable to do so. We wish them and their dear ones a better health and circumstances in the near future.

However, all the work to compile an issue is becoming too intensive for the two people still running the magazine. Hence, after the 50th issue, which we hope to publish at the end of September, we will switch to a less labor-intensive format.

Starting with the December issue, we will include only articles that we have collected in the 3 months before, supplemented by articles or links to articles that you yourself send. We will return to this in more detail in the September issue.

We continue our focus on advocacy in information on ME in accordance with the International Consensus Criteria (ICC), despite the global trend to merge ME research especially with Long Covid research. We have nothing against this in itself (at least if it will prove to be a fruitful merger) as long as the patient groups are stratified so the ME patient group isn’t invisible

But we want to rule out the possibility that no one publishes specifically on ME anymore.

To subscribe, unsubscribe, submit articles, comments or questions: mail to meglobalchronicle@gmail.com

Contributions can be submitted at any moment, but the Deadline for next issue: 10th September
Publication next issue: 27th September

  • Kindly share this magazine on your social media so that we make a bigger impact in this joint effort

We wish you educational reading and a mild summer in the northern hemisphere and a mild winter in the southern hemisphere.

Heartfelt regards and best wishes for, at the least, no worsening of your ME.
